Sakura Tissue-Tek TEC 5 Embedding Station & Cryoplate

The Sakura Tissue-Tek® TEC™ 5 Embedding Station & Cryoplate is a modular tissue embedding system designed to improve workflow efficiency, operator comfort, and embedding precision in histology and pathology laboratories. Built with Sakura’s proven reliability and ergonomic design, the TEC 5 provides a compact, fully integrated workstation for both specimen orientation and paraffin embedding.

The TEC 5 system features a flexible two-module configuration consisting of an embedding console and cryo module that can be arranged in either left-to-right or right-to-left layouts to suit individual laboratory preferences and workflow requirements. Matching work surface heights between modules allow smooth specimen transfer and improved daily operation efficiency.

Designed for precise temperature control and dependable embedding performance, the system includes a 4-liter paraffin reservoir, independently controlled heated chambers, and a spacious cooling plate capable of accommodating approximately 60 specimen blocks. Fully programmable startup and shutdown controls help improve laboratory efficiency while reducing energy consumption. The TEC 5 also features six heated forceps wells, adjustable paraffin dispensing controls, and easy-to-clean surfaces that simplify routine operation and maintenance.

Additional ergonomic and workflow-enhancing features include optional foot pedal paraffin dispensing, quiet compressor operation, environmentally safe refrigerant usage, and clear LCD temperature displays for all heated and cooled areas.
