The Sakura Tissue-Tek® VIP™ 5 Tissue Processor is designed to deliver fast, efficient, and reliable tissue processing for busy histology laboratories. Engineered with advanced automation and flexible workflow capabilities, the VIP 5 supports a wide variety of tissue sample types through up to 20 customizable processing programs and selectable 150- or 300-cassette capacities.

Its intuitive, user-friendly software allows operators to manage reagents, customize reagent and program names, configure cleaning cycles, and monitor processing status through a clear full-text display interface. Integrated cassette and reagent usage counters further simplify reagent tracking and workflow management.

The VIP 5 automates critical processing functions including reagent transfer, continuous reagent mixing, and bottle connection verification to help ensure consistent, dependable processing results. The system also features a self-calculating delay mode that coordinates processing completion times to improve laboratory workflow efficiency.

Designed with both convenience and performance in mind, the processor allows cassettes to be added during active processing cycles and includes external drain and fill functionality for easier maintenance. Paraffin degassing technology helps maintain clean, sanitized paraffin while minimizing the need for additional retort cleaning cycles.

Additional features include a durable stainless steel work surface, adjustable alarm settings, built-in printer interface compatibility (printer optional), dual-level password protection for enhanced security, and a basket design that supports upright cassette placement while fitting standard embedding consoles for added laboratory convenience.
