The Sakura Tissue-Tek® VIP™ 6 Tissue Processor is an advanced overnight tissue processing system engineered to deliver exceptional processing quality, workflow efficiency, and user convenience for modern histology laboratories. Designed with a highly advanced Automated Reagent Management System, the VIP 6 helps optimize reagent usage, improve processing consistency, and minimize laboratory staff exposure to hazardous chemicals through its fully enclosed processing design.

A key feature of the VIP 6 is its intelligent Reagent Management System, which can automatically rotate up to three separate reagent groups — including alcohol, xylene, and paraffin — during processing. This advanced system helps maintain fresh reagent quality, prevents specimen dry-outs, and promotes reliable, high-quality tissue processing results with every run. The processor also incorporates enhanced reagent management software that simplifies monitoring and control of reagent usage throughout laboratory workflows.

To further improve processing reliability and specimen protection, the VIP 6 utilizes four paraffin reservoirs, including three 4.2-liter reservoirs and one larger 5.6-liter reservoir designed for paraffin pellets. This configuration helps ensure clean paraffin is consistently available during every processing cycle. With a throughput capacity of up to 300 cassettes per run, the system is ideal for high-volume pathology and histology laboratories.

The VIP 6 is also designed to minimize manual staff intervention by automatically transferring reagents during processing from two large external 10.8-liter bulk reservoirs dedicated to alcohol and xylene. Convenient external fill and drain ports simplify reagent replacement and maintenance while reducing direct chemical handling. Its fully enclosed system provides enhanced laboratory safety by minimizing exposure to hazardous chemicals while increasing overall operational efficiency and reliability.
